In her presentation, Søholt pointed out three global megatrends that should affect the urban devlopment and asked what responsibility the Nordic Cities who are about to free themselves of the modernist legacy of mono functionality, has in relation to the cities in developing countries. What kind of urban projects are developed in Scandinavia right now - and how are these projects contributing to the general quality of life? By stating that we not only develop cities, but urban culture, Søholt completed the presentation by requesting both individual and collectiv action for human based urban development and value growth.
