Copenhagen - June 2007
On the 1st of June the network held a single day seminar in Copenhagen. The purpose was an introduction to the pilot projects. 8 cities had ideas and schedules for pilot projects. 6 cities joined the meeting and presented each their project.
Every pilot project has a very high level of ambition. Central issues of the knowledge city discussion are at stake and therefore there is a great potential to develop the knowledge city theory further and find ways and methods of practice in these projects.
There is some overlap between the projects regarding themes and problems. The network will be used as a space for dialogue during the process of the pilot project. Similar projects will join into groups in order to support each other and use this network as a pilot project laboratory.
Pilot projects will be discussed further at the Seminar in Umeå in August.
