Umeå - August 2007
The 16th and 17th of august Nordic City Network held a seminar in Umeå focusing on the following main themes:
- Political leadership, urban governance and public/private partnerships
- Culture and urban development
- Presentation and discussion of current pilot projects
Ilmar Reepalu, mayor of the City of Malmö and Marie-Louise Rönnmark from the city council of Umeå both participated in the seminar. They both gave presentations about their experiences and views on political leadership.
A main focus of the seminar was to make a start of new pilot projects aiming at the development of the knowledge city.
